In [April/May] 1675, Spinoza revived his long-interrupted correspondence with Henry Oldenburg and forwarded a parcel to London. That package, containing a copy of Tractatus theologico-politicus and in all likelihood also this (lost) accompanying letter, may have been sent to London via the ordinary postal delivery system. There is also the distinct possibility that the parcel was carried by some unknown intermediary crossing the English Channel. The parcel never reached Oldenburg.
